That can't happen in my neighborhood... This is a safe place... We have never had something dangerous happen here before... Not in my backyard... Do these words sound familiar? Of course, these words sound familiar-- These are all phrases that we have spoken to one another when discussing the comfort and relative safety of our suburban homes and sprawling neighborhoods. Take for example, these crimes from Jacksonville, North Carolina which would cause anyfamily to pause and reconsider... Can something like this happen to my family? In my neighborhood?
